An Ultrasonic Level Indicator Transmitter is a non-contact level measurement device used to monitor the level of liquids, slurries, or solids in tanks and open channels. It works by emitting high-frequency ultrasonic sound waves from a transducer towards the surface of the medium. These waves are reflected back from the surface, and the time taken for the echo to return is measured.
The microprocessor calculates the distance based on the time-of-flight and converts it into a level reading.
Ideal for corrosive, hazardous, or difficult-to-access environments, it offers maintenance-free operation, high accuracy, and 4-20 mA output with optional relay and HART/RS485 communication.
