Glass Tube Rotameter (SDG Series) A Glass Tube Rotameter is a type of variable area flow meter used to measure the flow rate of liquids or gases in a closed tube. It consists of a vertically mounted tapered borosilicate glass tube with a float inside. As the fluid flows through the tube, it causes the float to rise. The float stabilizes at a position where the upward force of the fluid equals the downward gravitational force, indicating the flow rate on a calibrated scale installed beside the glass tube.
