A Capacitance Level Switch is a point-level sensing device used to detect the presence or absence of liquids, slurries, in tanks and silos. It works on the principle of capacitance change—as the process material comes into contact with the probe, the dielectric constant changes, altering the capacitance between the probe and the tank wall. This change is sensed by the electronics, triggering a switching output.
Capacitance level switches are ideal for non-contact, maintenance-free operation, suitable for conductive and non-conductive media in chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries.
