The inclined tube manometer
or slant manometer Is an enlarged leg manometer with Its measuring leg
inclined to the vertical axis by some angle. The Indignation Is done to
expand the sole and thereby to Increase sensitivity. It is used to
measure very small pressure differences. The manometer is tipped so that
the liquid moves a longer distance through the tube as it rises. As the
pressure applied on the well increases the manometer fluid rises in the
inclined tube, indicating the pressure read across the graduated scale.
